Coach Kron enters his first year as head women's soccer coach at Coe. He spent last season as an assistant coach studying training habits and team traditions.
Kron joined the Coe staff after spending two seasons as the assistant men's and women's soccer coach at Loras College. He also served as the head women's soccer coach at Galena High School in Dubuque for two years after helping establish the program in 2002.
While at Loras, Kron was a member of the Iowa Conference Coaching Staff of the Year in 2003. Loras' men's and women's soccer teams combined for a 37-6 record that year. Both were crowned conference champions.
Recently, Kron has been appointed director of youth development for the Cedar River Soccer Association. He also served as a head coach in the Sports Ambassadors Program that competed in the 2004 Haarlem Cup in Amsterdam, Holland. Kron began his collegiate coaching endeavors as an assistant coach at the University of Rochester in New York.
A native of Rochester, N.Y., and graduate of Brockport High School, Kron played soccer for the University of Rochester from 1995-1999. He was the team captain in 1999 and his team made NCAA appearances in 1995 and 1997. Kron graduated in 1999 from University of Rochester with a degree in European History (concentration on Germany). He is one class away from completing his masters degree in athletics administration.
Coach Kron is a holder of the NSCAA Natonal Diploma.
